Realme is rapidly taking over the smartphone world with its budget devices. Dominating the Indian and Chinese markets, the company manages to deliver low-priced smartphones coupled with the specs of a flagship device.

And to bear that low-cost devices Realme does a lot of cost-cutting and tries to make a profit in other areas such as targeting advertising pushing users to use the pre-installed ColorOS apps (Bloatware) and more.

“THE BASIC BLOATWARE DEFINITION IS USELESS SOFTWARE THAT SLOWS YOU DOWN. AFFECTIONATELY CALLED CRAPWARE, DIPLOMATICALLY CALLED POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAMS (PUP), BLOATWARE REFERS TO ANY UNWANTED, HIDDEN PROGRAM ON YOUR LAPTOP, COMPUTER, OR PHONE THAT COMES PREINSTALLED BY THE DEVICE MANUFACTURER, DISTRIBUTOR, OR CARRIER.”

Dear Users,

I had used the following tutorial from XDA to debloat Some unwanted apps(for me) which were pre-installed by the manufacturer.

Note: It doesn’t require root permission, It doesn’t affect Future OTA. But ensure that what you are uninstalling. if you remove the core system package surely it will affect ur system stability. and I m not responsible for such cause

Step by Step

1.Install USB drivers for your Device

2.Download the ADB binary for your particular OS (WindowsMacLinux)

3. Enable Developer Options and USB Debugging

4. Find a good USB cable, plug it into your computer, and then to your device. When the pop-up appears asking you to authorize the device, allow it.

5. Open a command prompt (cmd in windows) and type: adb devices

6. This should return the ID of your device. If not, please go back and retrace your steps.

7. Use the following commands to find the apps you want to disable (replace ‘amazon’ with the manufacturer, i.e. ‘Samsung)

commands:

adb shell

pm list packages | grep ‘amazon’

8. once you got all package names:

Now type:

adb shell

9. This should give you a new prompt, something to the effect of (device-model):/ – here type the following:

CMD: pm uninstall -k –user 0 <name of package>

This should return ‘Success’ at which point the package has been removed!
