Realme is rapidly taking over the smartphone world with its budget devices. Dominating the Indian and Chinese markets, the company manages to deliver low-priced smartphones coupled with the specs of a flagship device.

And to bear that low-cost devices Realme does a lot of cost-cutting and tries to make a profit in other areas such as targeting advertising pushing users to use the pre-installed ColorOS apps (Bloatware) and more.

“THE BASIC BLOATWARE DEFINITION IS USELESS SOFTWARE THAT SLOWS YOU DOWN. AFFECTIONATELY CALLED CRAPWARE, DIPLOMATICALLY CALLED POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAMS (PUP), BLOATWARE REFERS TO ANY UNWANTED, HIDDEN PROGRAM ON YOUR LAPTOP, COMPUTER, OR PHONE THAT COMES PREINSTALLED BY THE DEVICE MANUFACTURER, DISTRIBUTOR, OR CARRIER.”

Requirements :

— > Latest ADB Platform Tool — Click ME

Extract the Folder and Copy it to C drive and paste it there.

–> Android Drivers — Click ME

–> ADB Drivers ( it’s not needed, but to make double sure) — Click Me

This tutorial for those who are annoyed with system apps like App Market mostly and it applies to all android out there.

You can’t uninstall nor can disable which is a bit hectic.

Let’s start then

— Make sure your Developer Option is turned ON.

If you don’t know, follow below

— Go to Settings -> About Phone -> keep taping on the Version, You will be notified with the Developer Option is enabled.

— Go to Additional Settings -> Developer Option and USB Debugging -> Turn it ON (if not ).

Now Connect Your Device to PC/Laptop using a USB Cable.

–> Select Transfer Files

If your drivers are successfully installed and running you will pop up with like this below on your device.

And make sure you tap OK, if this menu is not yet poped-up Don’ worry.

Now Open CMD in your PC/Laptop and type

–> ADB devices

Now if there is nothing under ‘List of devices attached’ or says something like ‘waiting for device‘ then drivers are not installed successfully.

I hope You must not encounter this error if followed correctly but even if you got this error, make sure to ask in the comments.

Now the real part begins

–> adb shell

–> pm list packages -s

(using this command will list all the system apps but if you want a total list of all — pm list packages )

–> pm uninstall –user 0 com.oppo.market

this command will remove App Market but if you want to remove more system apps, just copy the name of app from the list and replace it with the above command’s name.

For example — if you want to remove browser use this , –> pm uninstall –user 0 com.nearme.browser

Now don’t uninstall anything you don’t know about. But even if you messed up, You can always flash the update package file to restore your system.

I hope this helps you and remember this tutorial works for all android not just Realme.
